Self-Pay Therapy Services

Self-pay therapy is available for clients who prefer to pay directly for services instead of using insurance. This option may be a good fit for clients who want more privacy, greater flexibility, or services that may not be covered by their insurance plan.

Self-pay clients are responsible for the full cost of each session at the time services are provided, unless another payment arrangement has been discussed in advance. Payment is collected through the secure client portal.

Choosing self-pay means that Teresa Guzman, LLC will not submit claims to your insurance company. Clients may request a superbill if they would like to independently seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual insurance plan.

Good Faith Estimate

Under federal law, uninsured and self-pay clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of services. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided before services begin or upon request.

Therapy needs vary from person to person, so the total cost of care depends on the type of service, session frequency, and length of treatment. Fees and estimated costs will be reviewed before beginning services so clients can make an informed decision about care.

Payment Policy

Payment is due at the time of service. Cancellations or missed appointments without proper notice may be charged the full session fee, as outlined in the practice cancellation policy.
