

Teresa Guzman, DSW, MS, LCSW
Teresa Guzman is a licensed clinical social worker and Doctor of Social Work with experience in trauma-informed care, crisis assessment, social work education, and clinical supervision. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, direct, culturally responsive, and grounded in helping clients better understand their patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
Teresa works with adults, couples, and professionals experiencing trauma, anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, major life transitions, and identity-related challenges. She uses evidence-informed approaches including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness-informed care, and strengths-based clinical practice.
She holds a Master of Social Work degree and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice, with a specialization in Criminal Investigation. Additionally, she has earned a Doctorate Degree in Social Work which focused on trauma interventions. Presently, she is licensed to provide mental health counseling in the states of Florida, Indiana, Maine, Virginia, and Connecticut.
Dr. Guzman is committed to fostering the growth of others and inspiring individuals to make a positive impact in various domains. Presently, she holds a part-time teaching position and has served as a field supervisor at several universities.
