

Teresa Guzman, LCSW
Teresa Guzman is a clinical social worker who prides herself on working with underprivileged youth and adults in special needs populations such as homelessness, human trafficking, and juvenile delinquency. With over ten years of experience in social services, she has assisted clients in gaining mastery over their traumatic experiences and advocated for change to help victims of crime.
Currently, she works with individuals and families to develop healthy relationships to promote optimum health. She uses evidence-based techniques such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. Ms. Guzman is poised to endorse growth and mobilize agents of change at various levels. She is a part-time faculty member at Barry University School of Social Work and has participated as a field supervisor with multiple universities.
Ms. Guzman has a Master of Social Work degree and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice, specializing in Criminal Investigation. She has recently embarked on obtaining her Doctorate Degree. She is licensed with the state of Florida to provide mental health counseling.
